Who Are They Calling Elitist?

My reply:
Who are the "cultural elite"? I think it is pretty "fair and balanced" to say that it is "people who only think they know better than you". It is also a label brought to you by people who don’t think they need to, and don‘t know they are, but don‘t either. The same people who brought you the "culture warrior". The same people who brought you "trickle down" * . The same people who brought you "lift yourself up by your own bootstraps". The same people who now probably don’t have boot straps, no matter how much they rely on the bottom line. The same people who think the bottom line is all that matters. The same people who don’t see people as the bottom line. The same people who see corporations as people. The same people who put people under the trickle down, rather than in the first line of the constitution. The same people who can’t read the second line of the constitution but can read the second amendment, and don’t worry again about the 1st amendment. Of course unless you are far enough above the line to own a corporation. And then of course it is best to forget about what people are, or what one owns, until of course, it comes to democracy. Then it is stay the course of course, don’t ask the people. But more important is, don’t ask, don't tell...US.

One Take Over The Line
I think Ted Nugent may have walked the line of nuance better.
Lawrence filled in a "not so veiled suggestion" that Ted may have avoided. I am not defending hateful and ugly hyperbole or other extremely inaccurate characterizations made by Nugent, but he could have been implying that he could not bear to live under an Obama administration or would be persecuted for his speech. Not that he would commit suicide, I just hate to play with Nugent's cause and effect deficiency.

Replacement Refs or Not...

Not to pun on Xfinity, but while the Comcast links*** will expire.**,
it's the congress John! Bring it on, Joe! The President needs to hold a Sit Down.
Before I get down to the task of preserving<*> those links whether read or not, I will explain the Rogue John and Wax Leak of the asterisks. Although the lesson learned from "Simon says"^^ might be to actually read links more thoroughly, the lesson from the Debate may be more complex but parallel of sorts. By "rogue",<*> I mean that former Presidential Candidate McCain(first link) confesses an expectation for him lowering the expectations of Paul Ryan, while disrespecting the Vice President and framing an expectation for gaffs. Then in regard to the " ball of wax " that Palin leaks, it connects the "boys" to the other "race" speech.^^^ (There, that's the GPS-uncross-Rhodes.)
And a far as my Tan Gents(Dr. Trumps), being a Seahawk fan has nothing to do with my take on the moderator. Well, who knows? But Mr. Lerrer has been critcized for not moderating or having a good performance, but I think that given the style over substance versus substance with style, these are not legitimate debates. And within the political system (such as it is) it was not his job to interfere with the players being themselves in order to let them make the proper contrast. Again having only heard most of the debate on the radio, I thought that the President walked away with it, but that was under the condition that facts matter. Neither he nor Lehrer could have done a better job in the case that they don't.
BTW^: Speaking of "boys", we have heard cracks about the Harvard "professor" and I suspect he has had to deal with a few wise-guys or gulls[!]

Any calculations of Romney's so called economic plans must take into consideration two things under the rubric of politics. Captain Mitt Picard and the three step outlined under the first three bullets below. (Not to aim at his wife's Dressage Horse or rubber/glue the horse shoe.) My points actually being, that under executive privilege, his plans are simply to "Make it so." And the Cheney principle, fire arms aside, debt doesn't matter. So (all due respect to economic analysis) any analysis that projects what his plans mean must consider him cherry picking or indeed etch-a-sketching his campaign Cherry (picked) Tree. BTW: George Washington and his cherry tree was one of the nations first etch-a-sketch moments. Ax not what you can etch-a-sketch... or was it hatchet jobs.Pep to Biz Mall ? Any one!

THANK YOU DAVE ROSS!
For exposing the PVRHT act.
(Otherwise known as: H.R. 1955: for the Prevention of Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism)
OK, I left off(or spun off) the PA (prevention act)for its Patronizing Attitude and the quip that the act itself could fall under its own spell.
[Dave Ross interviewed Alicia Mundy (1) of the Seattle Times and Chip Berlet (2) of Political Research Associates.]

Bottom Line: The Senate should hold hearings on this act! Or have the guts to act as fast in rejecting this act as premature and ill advised based on the fear it was enacted under. One major failure of this piece is the appointment process which should be balanced in favor of the majority party. The other is the need to review current intelligence gathering and its use. That is what the committee should be limited to, if not extended to the suggestions contained here.

Not to mention the problem of defining ideology and intelligence: having more of it, does not mean you have enough to handle it. The process is important and it must be considered what is being done to complicate the process by those who have no faith in the process, yet want to add to it.

It may also be worthy to study the words of Thomas Jefferson under subheadings, When Revolution is the Only Answer, Consequences of Revolution, and Prospects for Reformation, and just before these The Need for Leadership:
Speaking of "nuance" meaning nothing in this post should suggest violence is the answer, nonetheless I was surprised to find this, thinking I was reaching for something more "out there": from Goldwater

Catching Up with US.
OR WATERLOGGED (Cause and Effect/Accountability)
Just why is bureaucracy so at fault when Bush or whoever is in charge (he apparently has to investigate that) added to it by bringing FEMA under Homeland Security?
Homeland Security, and Bush, are more at fault than FEMA, unless blame is only trickle down. (For some it is the people's fault while they serve at the will of the president.)
No wonder New Orleans is flooded. For the sake of millions of bucks passed (NOT), we need billions of buckets to bail out the trickle down.
Maybe there is some sort of "rhetorical" balance in this administration. A linguistic "Tao" of sorts, or that sorts it out. Money is passed up, and "the buck" is passed down. Now I get the schizophrenic partnership between the pillars of the Republican party that are falling upon this country. Religion and the Almighty Dollar do not need to be so close or frictional, but it appears that the dollar to them is meant to rise while the moral burden is for the masses.
Wait. Is this only rhetoric? A metaphor may be more accurate. But rhetoric like money and religion are just words that need to be given meaning by how they are connected to the living and dying. And before I waste more words, I will just say that the bureaucracy is a key in providing the connections to more than just two factors.
The blame does not go to religion, money or bureaucracy which will and must change, but the actors that need to change. The PROCESS must be a two way street of ACCOUNTABILITY between many factors, rather than just the high road and the low road of survival of the "fittest" or we will continue to revolve rather than evolve.
If there is "intelligent design" it may be that I could not make any PROGRESS with a pun about removing the R and replacing the D to improve our evolution. But it also may show the "cause and effect" which is ACCOUNTABILITY that neither party nor people can escape
Now we have come full circle: He trusts the people, not the government, and now everything is on them.

RUNNING WITH RHETORIC
James Baker III who fixed the vote for Bush in Florida as he himself described it speaking to Russian oil oligarchs, represents the Republican party, Exxon, the Saudi government, the governing council in Iraq and does all of this out of an office in the White House? And a caller on the Dave Ross show asks Greg Palast if they (Cheney et al cabal) are taking anything under the table? Oh and this is not about oil or having your cake and eating it too? Or do as I say not as I do?
And Bush joked in his first media appearance things would be easier if he were dictator? Question mark belongs after both the resident and his joke. All other question marks replace quotes ironically.

Note: I have yet to figure out how to print stuff upside down, but ala Q&A or fun-books I should give footnotes or clues upside down for those having trouble with my writing style or MO. They could leave a disaster as bad as they believe it will be, because they can or rather because they are unwilling to do what might work. Putting the war on the books is a start. QCON: Working group a good idea,
but link of war to economy is key. Reform of system that puts investor profits and executive bailouts over failure of so-called free markets, may be a pincer attack that Obama and Clinton can perform on the trickle-down. Meanwhile as far as pressure to get out of Iraq, remembering who the commander-in-chief is, not that he should get his way, but his way of getting out may be hampered by who he and his crowd are. They could leave a disaster as bad as they believe it will be, because they can or rather because they are unwilling to do what might work. Putting the war on the books is a start.
